I've been running Discordway with my three Necro heroes.
It works well, but I'm not sure what to use with my Necro character.

I've experimented with Putrid Bile/Toxic Chill/Vile Miasma, and it does consistent damage, but feels clunky.

I've looked around PvXWiki, and Icy Veins seems like a good idea, but there doesn't seem to be much to it.

To clarify, I'd like to use primarily Necromancer skills (as opposed to AP/SoS/etc.)

Maybe its so obvious you missed it, but you could also run discord.

Personally though, I'm a big fan of Spoil Victor. Others will tell you to run an AP caller, but meh... its boring if you ask me.

Sometimes I enjoy going an alternative minion/pet mode:

N/R
Death Magic 10+3+1+2(masochism) = 16
Beast Mastery 11
Soul Reaping 10+1+2(masochism) = 13

Animate Flesh Golem
Comfort Animal
Summon Naga Shaman
Withering Aura
Great Dwarf Weapon
Masochism
Predatory Bond
optional

the combination of golem + pet applying weakness (and getting frequent knockdowns with GDW) with the naga using stoning helps keep foes on their backs with surprisingly good DPS.

I use the IV you mentioned from pvx and I know what you mean by "there doesn't seem to be much to it."

Basically, just fill it up with PvE skills and whatever death/SR skills that take your fancy. It's great for asploding stuffs

Why the use of only necro skills btw?
I can understand not wanting cookie cutter builds with ap and sos. But a nice fevered dreams build for instance is very similar to necro.

I like my build with putrid explosion and masochism in it, but it is kinda minion unfriendly. Add air of supiriority in it and go spam.

Human Necro build with Over Powered minion army +added spike.

Don't compete with your discord heros to expolit a corpse while still making stronger minions (up to level 21 with masochism + P-cons) than heros can

16 DEATH
13 SR
3 curses

Discord
Necrosis
Enfeeble (fuels Discord/Necrosis)
Malign Intervention (used to call targets)
Summon Naga (free kd on weakness)
Opt PVE skill (Ebon Sin, technobabble, Ebon Sniper, Ebon Escape, etc...)
Verata Gaze (capture free minion)
Any other skill (masochism or rez)

Hey there, as a fellow necromancer, i understand your pain and torment of trying to find a sufficient build to run as all the heroes take the good skills

personally i opt for a Lingering Curse support build

Curses 16 (12+3+1), Motivation 9, Soul Reaping 9.
1: Air of Superiority
2: Leaders Zeal
3: Ebon Wisdom Standard Battle thingy :P
4: Lingering Curse
5: Enfeebling Blood
6: Aria of Zeal
7: Rend Enchantments
8: "We Shall Return!"

you will rarely make any damage when using this build unlike Sos/APEtc, but the support you offer for your heroes can make the game a breeze in HM. I am using it to vanquish at the moment when i have time and have done Majesty Rest without dying.

So yeah, your choice but that's my 2gp, good luck on finding a build

Try using discord as well combined with necrosis (necro sunspear skill)

Its essentially the same skill as necrosis and it allows you to spam both all the time,one after the other.

You could also support your discord heroes by using aoe curses and aoe conditions.

Suffering for example as a hex, can also use a self inflicting bleeding skill and another one to transfer it to the enemy and then spreading it with mesmers epidemic

Calm down fella, there's no need to resort to name calling just because you don't agree with someone.

I personally don't use discord. I use 5 mesmers, a N/rt healer and an ST Rt but I still see a lot of people in ally chat who like to use discord. This does not anger or upset me
